Louise has worked as a full time Floral Designer in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast for the past 5 years but she has also totally fallen in love with the world of letterpress. If she is not arranging beautiful blooms, scouring the local antique stores or cuddling her little girl Violet you will find Louise lining envelopes, finely trimming, cutting, packaging and finishing off gorgeous letterpressed stationery suites.
What five things do you love the most about letterpress?
1. That every beautiful piece of letterpressed paper is handled with love and care – by a person, not just a printer.
2. The precision of letterpress – the paper lining up with the plates to create the perfect impression, the mixing of colours to create the perfect shade and the trimming and cutting to finish the perfect edges.
3. The feel of the beautiful, thick cotton paper – so luxurious!
4. I love the history of letterpress, it is such an interesting, old fashioned and quaint art form.
5. Letterpress is labour intensive, time consuming work and the end result is just so satisfying!
